7 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climb
Climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the scenic Machame Route, also known as the “Whiskey Route” – one of the most popular and beautiful routes on the mountain. Perfect for adventurous climbers seeking stunning views and diverse landscapes.
The Machame Route is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and excellent acclimatization profile. It approaches Kilimanjaro from the southwest and offers spectacular views of the mountain from all angles.
Unlike the Marangu Route, Machame uses tented camping throughout the trek, providing a more wilderness experience. The route features varied ecosystems including lush rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit zone.
The 7-day itinerary allows for better acclimatization with an extra day at Karanga Camp, significantly increasing your summit success rate. The route is considered more challenging but also more scenic than other routes.
This itinerary includes 2 hotel nights in Moshi, professional mountain crew, emergency oxygen, park fees, meals, camping equipment, and all trekking support services provided by IPPO Adventures.
